For some reason, Hallstatt is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Austria. There is not so much to see here. The most spectacular thing is an ossuary. It is filled to the brim with bones and skulls. The respective sons traditionally painted the bones of their parents, fathers, which had been excavated again. The city is tiny and the streets are narrow and lathy. Nevertheless, thousands of people crowd in the small town every day. Of course, everything was empty here during the Sars-Covid19 pandemic. I took advantage of this fact. I wanted to see the town as I had seen it more than 40 years ago. Back then with my parents.
In tribute to my father, I carried two Pradovit slide projectors with me. And up a mountain I dragged my feet with them. It is a mountain where you can see well down to Hallstatt.
